The sighs of the mind
Are the mornings
When you wake up
Unaware of the time
And the deep breaths
We take
Feel like an emergency brake
So much forward motion
Sometimes life feels like a funnel
And with infinite distance in the periphery
We take just about everything
For granted
I want a week of endless summer nights
I want a long trek
Or a short hike
Just something fresh
Something new
Plans abandoned for
A new possibility
Out of the blue
We have so much to see
Life isn’t a chance
It’s a impossibility
But here we are
Spinning jumping walking
Sitting and sleeping
All at once
Take any second
You’ll find broken hearts
And new love
Just a bunch of people
Trying to understand the chaos
Trying to figure out the riddle
Trying to make something out of
What they have
Or what they lack
Just a matter of hope
Dreams schemes and hard facts
